Professor of Rock

Professor of Rock Adam ReaderAdam Reader is the name of the man who many of us know as The Professor of Rock. Like I say about lots of younger folks doing reactions to songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s - you may have come to like it, but we lived it. In Adam's, case, he lived it in several ways. Raised in Blackfoot, Utah, he was influenced by his father's love of rock music and Kasey Kasum's American Top 40 (as was I). However, he's not genre fixated, and breaks out of the "just rock music mold quite often. He has an appreciation for disco, doo wop, hip hop, country and new wave, to name a few.

With his passion for music, he realized his dreams by forming a band called The Terks. And he is was the lead vocalist - don't believe me? check out the band's jazz cover of Spandau Ballet's "True." Later, he was drafted by ABC to host a show that highlighted local bands.

Professor of Rock logoFinally, as the Professor of Rock, he started a YouTube channel that has grown into a web site and much more with his familiar fedora and big glasses. The picture in this paragraph is his logo from YouTube. On thuis channel, he shares not only his love of music, but inside stories and things I can guarantee you didn't know about bands, artists, and songs. He's even interviewed lots of our faves, like Neal Schon, Kenny Loggins, and Gene Simmons. He does videos focused on music, albums, and artists. Want to try something fun? In his videos he always has 6 albums in s display on the right side fo the screen. I always try top see how many I can identify. It's not easy!
