Before we discuss any other YouTube stars we have to talk about Maphra. This name has come up quite a bit lately in the reactorsphere as a baffling vocal talent to watch out for. Indeed, her voice is incredible. Currently, her YouTube channel offers only covers of other people's songs, but it's how she covers them that makes her amazing. Her first video was posted 8 months ago and already she has over half a million subscribers!
The song garnering the most attention is her cover of "Doomed" (by Bring me the Horizon) which shows off not only her beautiful regular singing voice, but harsh vocals and head voice, too. It's not just her versaitilty, though; the way she goes in and out of these vocal styles is what's most incredible. UPDATE: A video recently made its way to the internet showing Maphra singing "Doomed" on stage, with Bring me the Horizon!
Maphra is also on Apple Music where she is described as valuing her anonymity. Maphra also covers Bad Omens, Spiritbox, and Linkin Park, to name a few, but right now she only has 7 videos on YouTube, including a cover of this week's #1 by Poppy, Amy Lee and Courtney LaPlante.
