OK here it is folks - the meta-chart that's been over 10 years in the making. Your top 50 bands, based on chart performance. We've listed them below in order from 1 to 50, along with their actual points earned, the country they're from, biggest hit and year, total # of #1s, total weeks at #1, position on our 2007 chart, and the move since then.
 
We've got seven new acts since 2007, and they're who you might expect: Apocalyptica joins us at #13; Lacuna Coil at #19; Muse at #23; Within Temptation at #26; Red at #33; Elis at #36; and Delain at #40. They're all on fire and already have more hits from 2011 to add to their tally. 27 bands are from the US and 11 are from Canada; in fact, the top 10 is split between these two countries, with Canada in the top 2 and #4. We also have 3 British, 3 Finnish, 2 Dutch, 1 Italian, 1 South African and 1 Liechtenstein band.
