Bands Almost in the Over 5 Club

In the past we've talked about bands reaching the Over 5 Club, or bands with 5 or more #1 hits. There's also a list called the Over 10 Club - more on that in another article. But what about those bands and artists who are on the edge, the precipice of crossing into the Over 5 Club? Well - there are 11 currently with four #1 on Rock Rips. Let's go through them:

11. Ad Infinitum Inferno 6 Currently active band; likely to achieve a 5th #1.
10. Default Supposed to Be 6 Last #1 was in 2012; however, the band is touring again so who knows?
9. Lindsey Stirling Hi-Lo 6 Currently very active, likely to reach five #1s. All but two of her hits are collaborations, including two with Evanescence and two with Amy Lee.
8. Tarja Paradise (What About Us?) 6 While many of her hits are collaborations, she has 28 chart appearances to her name and remains active. Tarja has just released a new single. Likely to get to five or more #1s.
7. Sick Puppies All the Same 7 Sick Puppies are not disbanded, although since lead singer Shimon Moore was dismissed tghey've been less active. Bassist Emma Anzai is part of Evanescnce and tours with them, but they might put out new stuff in the future.
6. Slash Maybe It's Time 7 The Guns 'n' Roses and Velvet Revolver guitarist is the only one on this list who's hit the top with every chart appearance (four in total) and every one is a collaboration. The msot recent was the nod to the last Ozzy Osbourne from last year, so he might make it to five.
5. The Pretty Reckless Under the Water 8 Although their last #1 was in 2021, they've been back on the chart this year and have 20 previous appearances; so, a likely candidate for the Over 5 Club.
4. Amy Lee Broken 10 Amy continues to be everpresent (see what we did there?) on Rock Rips. She's already got her 5th #1 earlier this year, so next year it'll be official. Her collaboration with Seether is one of the biggest hits on our charts, period.
3. Kobra & the Lotus Light Me Up 12 This band has been active until 2020, when lead vocalist Kobra Paige sort of stepped away to focus on family and her husband (the lead singer from Kamelot). Not sure if they'll put out anything new, but it's certainly hoped for.
2. Skillet Awake and Alive 12 Our leading Christian metal band on Rock Rips has been absent here since 2019, but are still releasing music and touring.
1. Fuel Hemorrhage (In My Hands) 14 Fourteen weeks at #1! Still acgtive, but no appearances on the chart since 2015. Have to assume it's not likely they'll reach five #1s.
