Thundermother is a 4-piece, all-female band from Sweden formed in 2009. Over the years their lineup has changed to the point that only one founding member, guitarist Filippa Nässil, remains. Despite these changes, their fan base stands as strong today as ever.
The band's style is reminiscent of classic 70s rock, espedcially AC/DC and Deep Purple. Or, as they say on their web site: "Thundermother don’t just play rock’n’roll. Thundermother are rock’n’roll!" Their name comes from their commitment to energetic music or "Thunder," and female power - "mother."
