2015 in ReviewNo national invasions of our chart in 2015! The US, Netherlands, and Finland continued their dominant presence, while countries like Brazil and Spain continued to enjoy increased presence. Last year's top song was by Nightwish, who continued on their astronomicals rise with not one- or even two- but three #1s, all of which made our top 10 this year. artists from Holland and Finland competed in droves. Despite this, they don't top our chart for 2015. Instead, it's from a newcomer, Rainover from Spain. Last year's #1 song was also the longest song to ever reach our chart. This year, we have the shortest. Down at #40 is a song from The Material that clocks in at 45 seconds, including a long sustained note at the end. This year's songs break down like so: US 18, Netherlands 9, Finland 6, Spain 4; 3 apiece for Germany, Italy, and Sweden; 2 each for Canada, Austria, Brazil, and Norway; and single appearances only for Australia, the UK, Switzerland, Russia, and our new multinational designation.Nightwish has 3 songs on our year-end chart but a number of other bands and artists are also here more than once.
